What is grocery billing software?
Grocery billing software bills items at the counter, works out GST and keeps stock. Suiteloom is built for how Indian grocery stores actually sell: barcoded packs and loose goods weighed on a scale, prices per kg or litre, offers that apply themselves, and stock kept for each outlet — fast enough for the weekend rush.
Built for grocery & supermarkets
The tools a grocery counter actually needs
Pick your business type when you sign up and all of this is ready from your first bill — nothing extra to buy.
Weigh it, scan it, done
Give an item its scale (PLU) code once. The barcoded label your weighing scale prints then scans straight onto the bill, with the weight or price it carries — no typing, no rounding at the counter.
- Works with scales that print barcoded labels
- Weight or price read from the label
- Barcodes, SKUs or a name search for everything else
Sell it the way your customers buy it
Price loose goods per kg, per litre or per piece, and keep the packed version of the same product next to it with its own barcode and pack size.
- Every item keeps the unit it is sold in
- Pack size and net quantity on packed goods
- Veg or non-veg mark, storage and origin on each item
Stock that counts itself
Every bill takes stock off the outlet it was sold at. Set a low-stock level per item, and see what is running out before the shelf is empty.
- Stock per outlet, added, removed or set in seconds
- A history of every change — who, why and which bill
- Tracked items can’t be sold past what you have
Offers the counter never argues about
Run percentage or flat-off offers on everything, chosen items or whole categories, for the dates you pick. The best offer is applied for the customer automatically.
- A minimum bill and a cap on each offer
- Start and end dates
- Manual discounts kept within a limit

Grocery billing FAQ
What grocery owners ask us most before they switch to Suiteloom.
Something else? support@suiteloom.com
Does Suiteloom work with my weighing scale?
If your scale prints barcoded labels, give each item its scale (PLU) code in Suiteloom and the labels scan straight onto the bill with the weight or price on them.
Can I sell items by weight or volume?
Yes. Items can be priced per kg, per litre or per piece, and loose and packed versions of the same product can be sold side by side.
Can I use a barcode scanner?
Yes. Any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner that types into the computer works with the POS. Each item, and each variant, can carry its own barcode.
Does it print on thermal printers?
Yes. Receipts print on 58 mm and 80 mm thermal printers.
Can several cashiers bill at the same time?
Yes. Each cashier signs in with their own login and bills from their own counter; sales and cash are reported per cashier.
Can regulars buy on credit (udhaar)?
Yes. Leave a bill unpaid and it counts towards the customer’s dues. They can pay part or all of it later — payments clear the oldest bills first — and you can set a credit limit the till warns about.
Can I set different prices at different outlets?
Yes. An item can have its own price at each outlet, and each outlet keeps its own stock.
Will it stop me selling what is out of stock?
Yes, for items you track stock on: the POS won’t sell more than the outlet has.
Can customers order from their phone?
Yes. Every outlet gets a QR Shop. Customers scan it, pick items and send the order; you pack it for counter pickup, and they can pay online if you switch it on.
Does Suiteloom track batches and expiry dates?
Not yet. Stock is kept per item and per variant at each outlet, without batch-wise expiry tracking.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new business gets 14 days free with everything included, and no card is needed to start.
